Baker’s Gas and Welding Supplies Inc., a welding equipment and supplies distributor in business since 1936, announces the launch of its online store, www.bakersgas.com, expanding its customer base beyond Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio with same-day, nationwide shipping on most items.
“From its beginning, our company has provided innovative products and solutions for metal workers,” said Thomas Klemz, co-owner of Baker’s Gas and Welding. “Our online store allows us to extend our top-quality products to customers nationwide as we continue to offer the latest welding and cutting equipment from the most respected brands.”
The website allows customers to shop by item or brand for welding systems including MIG metal inert gas (MIG) welders, tungsten inert gas (TIG) welders, plasma cutters, and stick or arc welders; grinding products; torch-cutting tools; welding accessories; and apparel including helmets and gloves from the brand names of Miller Electric, Smith Equipment, John Tillman, Lincoln Electric, and many more.
Product pages assist customers with know-how about different brands and types of products, such as the advantages of MIG welders or plasma cutters. A Welding Machine Selector process asks a series of questions to narrow the selection of welders down to the one most suited to a customer’s needs.
A listing of sale items and promotion offers is regularly updated including free shipping offers, company coupons, and brand rebates. Discontinued or overstocked items are also listed in the Clearance section of the website.
In addition to its online store, Baker’s Gas and Welding Supplies has five retail locations in Wauseon, Ohio; Bryan, Ohio; Lincoln Park, Mich.; Monroe, Mich.; and Osseo, Mich.
Additionally, Baker’s Gas and Welding Supplies operates a family of retail websites for items including jobsite safety products at www.bakerssafety.com, outdoor grills and supplies at www.petesoutdoorgrills.com, propane service in Ohio and Michigan at www.bakers-propane.com, and Ace Hardware products at www.bakersacehardware.com. The welding supplier also keeps a blog on welding tips, certification, jobs, and news at www.weldmyworld.com.
