Xiris Automation Inc., a 20 year veteran in the machine vision industry, has installed its first set of WI2000p Post Weld Inspection Systems. Designed for the tube and pipe industry, the WI2000p detects quality issues related to the welding process.
Using a high resolution camera combined with fast data capture and laser imaging, the analysis rate provides detection of defects down to 0.5 mm in size on a typical laser welding tube mill. Defects inspected include weld undercut, raised/ sunken welds, pinholes, bead position, weld height and weld register (mismatch).
New developments in laser-based post weld inspection systems offer tube and pipe mill fabricators:Post Weld Laser Inspection System
* Real-time Inspection of Precision Welded Seams
* Improved Weld Quality
* Reduced Operating Costs
* Reduced Liability Risk
Xiris Automation Inc. specializes in Optical Quality Control. Xiris provides some of the world’s most dynamic manufacturers with the ability to detect, recognize, and interpret quality defects in their manufactured goods.
